Glass Planner App Reviews

A good, simple (yet feature rich) todo list

Great todo list where its also easy to keep track of future work. A desktop app with syncing across devices would be awesome. It would also be even better if I could set repeating tasks according to the last date completed. (For example, its inevitable that I will put off completing house chores. If I have a chore repeating to do every Saturday, but I procrastinate and completed the last one on Tuesday, then I may not want to plan on completing that same chore on the next Saturday but the next Tuesday instead.)

Glass Planner

Started out Great, ahead of many others.... But it sure has fallen behind, no widget, or iPad app. And if they do have an update... Its for bugs in the app. Meaning, its really not supported.

Great app but very slow at rolling out updates

This app is the best productivity app I have used. Unfortunately, this is hindered by the fact that the app still has no support for widgets, 3D Touch, Apple Watch glances, etc. Also, i wish the app supported task timers with a little log of how long it actually took to do a specific task. For example, if I know I would like to read today, but I dont know how long I will have to read, but would still like to track and keep a log of how long I red, there is no way to do that within the app. And since the whole goal of this app is its ability to keep track of real world tasks all in one app, I feel like this should be included.

Almost perfect, NEEDS iPad support

Best productivity app Ive ever used, hands down. For a consistent postponer like me, the Flexible tasks are great at keeping me aware without being concrete enough to feel hopeless when I delay them. And the project nesting, while present in apps such as Omnifocus, is slim and versatile. Nesting projects within each other is not complicated, so its easy to be creative with your organizing. The best thing about Glass is that I never really feel restricted by the internal structures of the task management, so it has tons of capacity for customizability. However, I have to deduct a star because of the slow pace of dev updates and the lack of a proper iPad app (or web app). Currently tasks cannot sync between devices, so if I want to plan my day or add tasks to my inbox while at the office, I have to do so on my phone. I am willing to bet Im not the only person who cant appear tied to their personal phone in front of their boss all day. A web or iPad app would also be great for quick entry, which is one of Glasss few weak spots. At least with a computer or an iPad (and keyboard) it would be easier to dump 10-20 tasks at once. Anyway, fantastic app and definitely my favorite task management software (Omnifocus is second placed for me, in case you need a solid alternate option that does have iPad and desktop support). I hope the Slide Rule has been working hard on a new update for us! Maybe something new and fresh to mark the arrival of spring

Non existing Desktop App is the down fall

The app works great on an iPhone and iPad yet you can not operate it on a mac. It would be really handy to be able to edit tasks and things from my computer.

I loooove this calendar

The only reason I am lowering from 5 stars is because there is no time zone support!! I was flying eastbound (into the future) and an event that I had a alarm for failed to go off because it was schedule for the "past" as soon as I landed and my phone clock updated

Great App

This is by far the best planner app that I have found. It does everything I was hoping all the other ones would do and has allowed me to go from using two apps to one app for all of my stuff. Thank you Glass people!

Fantastic app, lack of progress worries me.

Its been roughly a year and a half that Ive used glass as my only planner. Its by far the best app I have ever used and I absolutely depend on it daily. But seriously.... We need some progress guys! I wouldnt even mind paying some kind of subscription fee in order to get better/more frequent updates. iPad enhancements, 3D tough, widget, and especially a DESKTOP app are all still missing. Im not sure if the developers are giving up on glass, they are incredibly slow, or somehow dont view those updates as important, but somethings got to change or Im going to have to switch to something else. Ive been waiting 1.5 years now... Come on guys, it really is a fantastic app, just make some progress.

Great to-do/calendar app!

This app its great! I hate having tons of different apps for to-do, lists and events. With Glass I can manage everything in one place. And once you learn how to use it, its super easy and fast!! Great job!

Brilliant idea crappy follow-through

Glass Planner could be a killer app in the task management space. The concept is a radical vision in the vast wasteland of GTD centric list based task management apps. One of the very few apps that understand that task management must be calendar centric then coupled the concept with an elegant UI well-designed for the phone environment. An utter failure to understand however that no one with a REAL task list is going to input their individual tasks using a thumb keyboard. A task managment app MUST have zero friction task capture/input, Glass has massive friction getting your tasks into the system. Also falls into the fantasy that having an algorithm suggest the task to fill the time available is value-adding. NO - software that helps ME plan my tasks is the killer not software that presumes the time available is the key parameter. Slide Rule software appears to have abandoned a product that had enormous potential but did not take off because of very "fixable" flaws. Its sad really because the potential was enormous.

Lovin it

Glass is everything I ever searched in an agenda. To be perfect and get all the 5 stars it just would have to sync with toodledo or have and web app, so I could acess my calendar online.

Unique

Different and unique than many calendar apps Ive used. Excited to fully try it

No

Every stupid app now wants our email addresses. Enough is enough. You cant have it. App deleted.

Upgrade is not free

Its a shame this app claims that the upgrade is free. Get ready to shell out almost $20—less if you dont mind the app bothering your friends on Facebook. I fully support developers getting paid, but to claim in the App Store that the upgrade is free, well...

Finally what Ive been waiting for

An old version of another app had some of the features offered by Glass, then an upgrade removed all those useful features. Since then Ive been waiting for something and Glass works great for me. I love the ability to set start & due dates (even setting them as critical or flexible!). Sync with calendar is nice as well. Projects, tags, places, people are among the many features I like about Glass (I actually recommended it in Facebook and got the upgrade for free). Things Id love to see in future versions: - sync with Reminder or have notification widget - more developed checklist (eg. % completed or some other progress indicator) - link to email/call with email address or phone number in notes or in the person part of info Great work Glass team!

Deleted Immediately

Developers failed to mention the MANDATORY sign up that has to be done before the app will let you in. No explanation of why this is necessary since there is iCloud for syncing.

Very nice app

Very good calendar and todo list design ! Simple and useful !

Pretty good

Great app. Could you add the ability to use custom alert times and have multiple alerts for each event? A widget of "act" would be awesome too!

I actually use this.

I have tried every calendar out there. A lot of them are very good. There are a couple I really like. However this one I actually use. After all a calendar is to help keep the laziest creature on the earth, us humans organized. Therefor we must admit we are just that. Lazy( or how I like to put it, we look for the easiest way to do something. That also means smart. ) This calendar works the way my brain does. Example: if I think of something I need to do or schedule I just throw it in the "someday" area. I dont need to think too much about it just as long as it is in there. Thats the most important. Then, because the app is so likeable I go in there often. While Im there I schedule a few things. It just makes sense how it is laid out. Imagine how it will work for those of you who dont have faults such as being lazy. It is new and there are a couple things it will get with updates. Try it and give it a few days and you will like it Im sure.

Great App!

Ive used many planner and todo apps but this one is definitely what Ive need looking for. I had questions and they were answered promptly which is quite rare these days. There are a few minor things missing but the developer told me they are on their schedule. Great app!!
